Where are you leaning your “ladder of hope?”

Resurrection Sunday message: Finding hope in a “hopelessly broken” world!

We all have Big dreams and Big hopes! So, How do we maintain that hope? How do we navigate all the tension in this life and still hope?! How do we keep our hope alive?

What is hope?

The things on which your expectations of fulfillment are resting!

There are two kinds hope:

  1.  Hope in things, wealth, titles, family or education. However, I think we all have found that they will not fill the God-shaped vacuum in our lives. This is the human predicament!
  2. Hope in “someone!”…His name is Jesus! Since the fall we have all been made subject to the frustrations of this world, when humanity fell! Sin…then, has impacted “every single thing!” Even our bodies are subject to decay…and that includes dying!

Solution: “The human creation will be liberated from the bondage of decay through Jesus Christ!”

God interceded for us, and through this ‘hope of deliverance’ from bondage of decay, we are saved!

How do you move your ladder of hope, from “things” to a “person?”

Rom. 10:9 says, “if you would confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead (resurrection)…YOU WILL BE SAVEDfrom a hopelessly broken world!!

So move your ladder of hope, from “things”, to the “someone!

Praise be to God who has given us hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ…in a hopelessly broken world!”

Where are you leaning your ladder of hope?!  “On Christ the solid rock I stand…all other ground is sinking sand…”

Good day, and Happy Resurrection!
